2012 quiver see's much the same as the above with replacements to most & a couple of fresh additions to the family in the guise of a new 5'11, yet to be released high performance single fin based on my standard 6'1's (taken from a soon to be released modern single fin range) and a truly exciting, hand shaped 5 fin Bonzer from the one & only Malcolm Campbell of Campbell Bros Bonzer fame in sunny upstate Oxnard California (www.bonzer5.com)

Mr Blue magically arrived recently and I had the pleasure to take it out for it's maiden surf in a beautifully umcrowded southern beachie for a bit of fun (see news & surf images pages)

It took me on a journey of self discovery & 90's reminiscing, back to the days of surfing the Bonzers exclusively in the empty line ups of the deep south west, aahh, memories are kind to us all...

Once I can gather all the boards in one place I will upload a fresh quiver image.

Okay, early 2011 quiver dimensions starting from left -

- Green single fin is 6ft and perfect for fun beachies south & Perth and for when it is just too small (often in Perth huh?!)
- Red rounded square is a hollow Salomon @ 6'1 & is the perfect Perth groveller
- Grey EXP/Yallingup Surf Co swallow is 6'1 & a great all rounder for travel & Arty Reef, Bears, Bullets, beachies, Stricko's etc..
- Yellow EXP/Yallingup Surf Co swallow is 6'6 for mid Yal's, P Break, maxing Bears etc..
- White EXP/Yallingup Surf Co swallow is 6'10 for medium Yal's, big Stricko's, medium secret Rottnest right hander etc..
-Yellow EXP/Yallingup Surf Co swallow @ 7'3 is for big Yal's, med to big secret Rottnest right hander, Stark's & Southern bombies
- Red tight pintail was handshaped by Mark Ogram and is 8'4 for maxing Yal's, big secret Rottnest right hander, big Southern bombies & Hawaii ( had my biggest & best waves on this old faithfull @ Sunset a few years back)
- White tight pintail was handshaped by Nick Pope and is 9'3 for maxing Southern bombies, maxing secret Rottnest right hander & Hawaii. Yep, it's a serious board that has consequently only been ridden a couple of times at a very big secret Rottnest right hander!
- Now the strange looking towboard that has me perplexed is 5'10 I think and was handshaped by Maurice Cole for that dude Ross Clarke Jones. Maurice said he shaped it mainly for Jaws & Ross had surfed it there a couple of seasons ago. I just had most of the lead weights in the deck removed which has lightened it up a lot and it's 100% carbon fibre which makes it ridiculously strong! Oh, I have yet to tow on this, if anyone has a spare jetski let me know.....

I have always loved the feel of single fins and was one of the very last on the beach to convert over to 3 fins. I guess that's why I have always had a number of single fins in my quiver to ride and why I started collecting them many years back.

Amongst my collection are a number of Tom Hoye Precision Equips, a couple of very early Greg Laurenson pins, a triple flyer Murray Smith, an out there Energizer, a near perfect Goodtime Surf (which is my favourite!) and a rare short round nose G & S, shaper unknown.

This is a strange board but I have a strong feeling it is one of the first really short boards shaped from a traditional longboard blank back when Midget, Nat etc... created history by radically shortening their boards.

Some beautiful boards in there that I don't ride any more due to fear of damaging them so I have a couple of single fins shaped to ride instead!
