You may have seen this image before in the news section but just thought to update as Malcolm Campbell is coming to Perth late February for a shaping gig & to help spread the good word of the Bonzer design.
Now, we are taking custom orders for his handshaped craft and pricing at this stage TBC but I am confident they will be very similar to standard instore shortboard pricing.
If interested in watching the master craftsman create your very own hand shaped custom Bonzer please email me (chris@chrisburke.net.au) as soon as possible so I can book you in to his tight schedule!

Howdy all!
Hope your Christmas festivities were fun & safe and the new year ahead is a positive one for all!
I had a great break and managed to squeeze in a couple of surfs down south in one of my favorite corners of the world.
These images were taken by Coops @ epicswells.com from last week at an empty beach that was very close to one of the most popular summer beachies in the area so I was very happy indeed to get the peak to myself for a couple of hours.
I am riding a fresh 5'11 5 fin Bonzer (see 14/10/11 below) that Malcolm Campbell shaped & sent over a couple of months back. Gee the board felt great and took me back many years to when I use to ride them exclusively. A very fast and positive feeling underfoot and can't wait to get it out again.
On that note Malcolm is visiting Aus come March for a shaping stint so if anyone is interested in having a handcrafted Bonzer shaped for them by the true original Bonzer master please let me know so we can get it locked in for early to mid March delivery.
A genuine opportunity to own one of the most interesting boards to ride and have amongst your quiver. Check out www.bonzer5.com for more insight into the 40 year old design philosophy.
These images are a more conventional 5'11 3 fin that has been going well for me lately in everything from Perth beachies to Canggu to southern juice.
Check out the beautiful water colours, gotta love this time of the year (oh, except for the thousands of flies that bugged us on the long climb back up the hill post surf!)

Yeehaa!!
Kieren Perrow has won his first ever WCT contest after 20 years of competing at legendary Pipeline almost mirroring last years event where he came within 30 seconds of winning to only have Jeremy Flores snatch it from under him.
KP had a topsy turvy year yet battled through it and more importantly battled through his inner dissapointment of last year to reach the quarter finals where he needed to get through to keep his spot on the elite ASP tour. He not only achieved that feat but came through with flying colours in the final against Joel Parkinson after leading for the whole heat, well done KP!
John John Florence took out the highly coveted Vans Triple Crown securing himself in history as the youngest ever winner (Derek Ho the 2nd closest @ 20 yrs old)
10/12/11
Da Pipe is on and what a show it has been! Again, thank goodness for Foxtel as we can watch the show unravel heat by heat as the guys battle the wave more than each other.
Solid 10 > 12ft sets greeted the guys on opening day with the swell dropping a tad the following day where the standouts have been mainly the local crew including the one & only (drumroll please) John John Florence.
This guy/kid (well, 19 yr old) has dominated his heats from the beginning proving local knowledge is key to surfing Pipeline. It kinda helps having a house right on the beach overlooking Pipe too!
How's this for a statistic, when Slater won his first Pipe title & consequent world title J J Flo was only just born, that's right, 19 years ago.... Bummer to see Taj knocked out and my favorite tour veteran Taylor Knox was knocked out by a mere .2 points taking a spectacular wipout in one of the lowest scoring heats on opening day. Luck of draw it was with sets pouring through in one heat and the next suffering lulls.
All for now, check out Foxtel for the quarter finals onwards action.

Woohoo! Now the good news is the 2nd West Coast Vintage Surf Swap Meet is on -
What? West Coast Vintage Surf Swap Meet
When? Saturday 17th (film & drinks night) & Sunday 18th March
Where? Camelot Memorial Hall - 16 Lochee St - Mosman Park
The venue is a classic art deco hall replete with surrounding gardens, lawn areas, truck loads of parking, plenty of space inside where we can all set up location and is attached to a huge oval for everyone to run free!
It's also very easy to find as very close to Cottesloe Beach and I will post a map soon for extra ease.
I will very shortly be emailing out to all that attended last year and those who have registered their interest to give you guys plenty of notice to start working on those extensive collections you have stashed away, hiding from the harsh public eye...
So if of interest please shoot me an email to info@cartercollective.com so I can lock you into a space as spaces are limited. We will be asking for donations of $10 per stall holder to go towards Princess Margaret Hospital of which will really help boost the gold coin entrance donations.

I recently headed out to one of the finest venues in the land @ Belvoir Ampitheatre in Perth, Western Australia to see the legendary Portishead.
A mighty fine gig it was with the legends delivering their unique blend of lo fi experimental downtempo trip hop or as my concert buddy Marc (arceden.net) coined 'industrialised folk Bristol trip hop' (or words to that effect...)
Mercury Rev landed the support slot and did a great job of entertaining the max capacity crowd with their unique 90's alternative sound which takes you straight back to the streets of Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr, mid career Beasties etc..
On that note, gee the 90's was a great era of experimental music & video clips with amongst my fav's the Beasties 'Sabotage', Dino Jr 'Feel The Pain' and the classic Nirvana 'Teen Spirit', all great tunes with even better clips.
Anyway, a great gig rounding out the last 18 months with a trio of Bristol bliss starting with Massive Attack, then Tricky & finishing on the highest note with Portishead!
Next up is Polly Jean Harvey come mid January which will be an interesting gig I reckon...

1 + 1 = 11!?!?
Whoah, back up! It seems as though someone couldn't quite add up the numbers as KS was prematurely crowned the 2011 champ, a tad embarrassing for the ASP!?
Fear not for if he gets through his next heat (yep, a hard task for KS) he will be the official 2011 world champ, well, at least that's the latest prediction based on the ASP's number crunching team...
3/11/11
Sexy 7, nifty 9, legs 11 - bingo!!!!
Yep, you guessed it, Slater has taken his 11th world title in the fun beachies of San Fran in a tightly fought and well surfed heat with an inform Dan Ross.
I watched the heat this morning (thank goodness for Fuel TV huh!?!?) where Dan dominated the heat till the last 3 mins where of course Slater pulled out his famous last minute winning wave strategy, genius!
On a sad note though a day of rememberance for one of the few true challengers for Slater in Andy Irons who passed away on this day last year, a fitting day for KS to win a title.
It's another well deserved world title to the best surfer in the world and a record run we will never see again in this sport or perhaps any other sports.

The article to the left featured in the current edition (#4) of Treadlie Magazine in the 'Treadlie Street' section.
it was a brief blurb on my treadlie & I, sharing the many stories of our travels together and our brief but flourishing romance, beautiful...
If you haven't seen it already go check out a copy as a great read on all things alternative in the world of bicycles, bikes, treadlies & deadlies!
14/10/11
Okay, after many months of
patiently waiting Malcolm's hand
crafted Bonzers have magically arrived
all the way from sunny Carlsbad California and what a beautiful sight they are!
5'11 Mr Blue is most shy & awaiting it's first surf on a southern road trip of which will come very soon whilst the bold 6'1 Mr White will make his way through the many experienced hands of WA based pro's before heading East to soak up the experience and legend of Mr Nick Carroll.
Here he will take Mr White on a journey of self discovery through the many capable teamsters, pro's & cool cats gaining valuable feedback & images along the way.
11/10/11
Well, just returned from another short trip to the land of the happy people, Bali!
Had a couple of fun surfs up Canggu way & Seminyak beachies with the highlight on the day of the Oakley Pro Junior girls final where the girls were surfing very impressively indeed.
They had absolutely smokin' Canggu rights to themselves whilst the rest of us battled the super sucky & wedgey left bowl that was serving up some mighty fine waves for all the pros including Conner Coffin & a cuppla Brazilians with one of their finest landing a super impressive double rotation super man thingy right in front of me! Gee those juniors are surfing such a level above the past genration it's mind boggling...
Gerr, Sascha Stocker & Tommy Whit's were surfing really well and dominated their short yet sweet surfs, particularly one big backhand snap by Tom Whit's.
Now I had heard a whisper of this low key cult underground hip club up Canggu way called the 'Lip Avoidance Crew' which had me intrigued, so much so in fact I signed up with some dude behind the big plastic condo contest tent and ended up avoiding the lip my entire surf that day.
Judging from the image to the left & by all reports on the beach I easily one the LAC title, super smooth...
The above images are from the ever accessible Slim @ baliwaves.com.
17/9/11
A beautiful thing happened the other day, a fresh delivery of mighty fine Smith Optics arrived at my door just in the nick of time!
Cheers to Christian & Dave @ Smith for keeping my eyes covered in super fine quality shades, as Iggy once said - ' I'm not the kind of guy who dresses like a king and a really fine pair of shades means everythin'
12/9/11
Samantha Stosur trumped & thumped the Amazonian Serena to win the 2011 US Open - woohoo!!!!!
She played the best match of her life and never lost control over the 2 sets, even with Williams chucking a little tanty at the umpire, it didn't rattle Sam and she went on to dominate in 2 sets.
Bring on more grand slam wins for our Ausssie Sam I say!!
9/9/11
What a great contest the Qslvr New York Pro was huh?! Gee what an exciting location to hold the worlds richest prize purse in surfings history & to think an Aussie deservedly beat KS to win $300 000 US ($400 000 AUS haha) Owen Wright!
Although there are some great images from the contest the 2 to the left are my favorites.
Taj well deserved 3rd as you can see from this turn and the line up shows that the Apple really does have waves.
Will be interesting to see now with the new mid year top 34 cutoff (Bobby Martinez's favorite...) who is in/out and how this will play out for Trestles, bring it on...
5/9/11
The novel to the left was written by one of my favorite song writers, novelists and composers, Nick Cave.
It's an interestingly written & worded tale of an era from long ago that is hard to pin down which helps with the overall feel to the narrative.
I won't ruin it by giving you an indepth critique but after reading this you can easily see from where Mr Cave derives his story telling style of prose and vise verca as this was written quite some time ago.
A classic tale well worth reading, especially on those long or short hauls to help escape the reality of the world that is slipping past via the jetstream and clouds...
I would like to be as positive regarding his latest offering in 'The Death of Bunny Munro' but alas I would not be telling you the truth.
As entertaining as it was I found it a tad too predictable and felt as though it was written by a different Nick Cave, not the one who wrote the above classic.
Two different styles of writing with this piece lacking the strength and depth of his other work, these are my opinions, make of them what you will...
30/8/11
Well, with winter officially finishing it's as good a time as any to reflect on what a great winter we have experienced. I have been surfing local beachies and southern reefbreaks with everyone enjoying perfect conditions and consistent swells up and down our vaste, expansive & often inhospitable coastline.
2 days back I surfed offshore fanned 4 > 5ft Bears with a relatively small crowd by normal comparisons and the day before surfed bowly wedgey 4 > 6ft Yallingup rights with only 4 guys. It was a really wedgey swell with perfect A frames popping up in front of you reminding me a lot of small & fun Sunset. I think the relatively small crowds are a reflection of how surfed out everyone is, lucky buggers...
Surfed a new 6'1 @ Bears which went well and finding myself riding shorter & shorter boards nowadays (just like everyone else huh!?) with a new 5'11 feeling just right for fun & punchy beachies.
Perth surfers have been saved by super consistent swells coupled with great banks from Trigg down to Leighton so most guys are happy with the winter campaigns.
I gotta be honest though I haven't reaped the benefits as much as I should have and missed some perfect Rottnest Island & down south days due to many reasons, anyway, there's always the next season to try and make up for it...
New images to follow soon, I promise, of which will include southern beauty & upcoming golden Bali sunburn tainted images...
12/8/11
Gee, a long time between posts but not a great deal to update except fun waves have been had both locally and south of course, gee those guys have been scoring some solid uncrowded waves lately.
I have been surfing a fresh 5'11 high performance single fin that Boyd Purdy shaped me recently. Man it is super fast and super fun! The positive speed from it is amazing, you just need to suss out where to plant your feet and how to trim, always loved single fins and loving them even more as a modern short board!
Will post an image soon as have one here somewhere....
Anyway, I am south soon to make up for lost time and will be posting fresh images of southern juice.
29/6/11
Okay, before you slander me for news update slackness I do have a legit excuse as for the huge gap between updates. For a suprise (again!) my site provider decied to make things difficult (again!) by restricting editing access & as they are US based things don't change quickly...
Anyway, I am back & stoked to be updating as lots to tell.
Had a quick 5 day Bali injection a couple of weeks back and the above image was taken by resident photog Slim @ baliwaves.com (.) @ yep, you guessed it, Canggu. He is always an easy guy to work with & a cruisey guy to boot!
Had a couple of fun seasons there with the crowd not so intense for early season but one thing I hadn't experienced in Bali before was how cold the water was! I have visited the islands many many times over the years and been there every month of the year bar 3 and never experienced the water temp so low.
Not sure why or how but to be honest I was a tad hungover due to numerous Potato Head Expresso Martini's (gee they taste mighty fine they do) and feeling a little slow that day so that may have contributed to the overall feeling & questioning of what am I doing? where am I?
Anyway, plenty of swell has been buffeting the beautiful West Coast of Western Australia with even plenty of local Perth options over the last week or 2. My favorite Perth semi secret smokin' right hander has been working the last couple of days and not too crowded at all which is a pleasant suprise and a great start to the opening days of the season.
Today saw super clean conditions with sheet glass making it hard to see the wedgey swell jump up, simply beautiful it was with not a longboarder or SUP in sight.
I received a fresh 5'11 single fin from my trusty shaper in Boyd Purdy @ Yallingup Surf Co recently and am keen to get it in the water next week when surfing my favorite waves around Yallingup. It's based on my 'standard' 6'1's I surf on at Rottnest, down south, O/S etc... so will be interesting to see how it feels. WIll post an image of it on quiver page when I can find the camera download cable...
17/4/11
Okay, the question on everyone's lips is, how did the movie Watership Down (1978) affect you & your childhood?
A while back a girl friend asked me this question quite out of the blue which prompted my honest response of a harrowing experience, leaving me with vivid images of death and sadness. Consequently I had
nightmares for many years to follow!
The same question was asked of other guys that night of differing ages and they all responded with similar replies of bad memories & visions, very interesting... Anyway, if you haven't seen it it's an animated story of a colony of rabbits who's home is threatened with destruction by human developers. Hoping to escape and save their community, the rabbits, led by Hazel and Fiver, seek out a safe place enduring obstacles & death along the way.
A beautifully haunting tale that may not have as big an impact now nor make as much sense as it did to a very young, impressionable & innocent child of the early 80's but I won't be rushing to show my girls the movie quite yet!
Well, now I have your attention a shameless plug to my supportive sponsors...
Deus is mentioned throughout both my sites re the Deus Vintage Surf Swap Meets
and these guys produce some mighty fine threads, bikes & motorcycles. Check out deus.com.au & you can pick up Deus clothing from a number of retailers in Perth, check out the carter collective page for stockists.
Hotline Wetsuits are based up in chilly Santa Cruz and have been producing specialist cold water suits for many years now & are available through the Aus/NZ
distributor @ liquidearthsports.com Some great suits there at very competitive prices, especially with the current parity of AUS dollar!
Now Smith Optics are one of the most respected sunglass manufacturers in the world and you can check out their current range @ smithoptics.com.au They keep producing a fine collection of shades each summer and my favorites from the latest range are the Breakbeat & the Chemist, smooth...
OAM Accessories produce an extensive range of high quality traction, leggies (or if in the US leashes!) board bags, wax etc... and can be found at the AUS distributors site ocimports.com.auThese guys sponsor one of my all time favorite surfers in Taylor Knox so they must be doing something right!
Yallingup Surf Co make the finest hand shaped custom boards and Boyd is the master craftsman who is so busy crafting wave toools that he hasn't had time to craft a website!
11/4/11
I don't know if you guys have checked out Green Magazine? (greenmagazine.com.au) It'dedicated to all things environmentaly conscious & sustainable regarding architecture, building, design, landscaping etc...
A great read if you are at all interested in design and/or environmental awareness and ways in which we can reduce our footprint via forward planning & reducing consumption.
Another one of my favourite
reads is fresh to the newsstands Treadlie (treadlie.com.au) coincidentally by the same guys @ Green & no I don't have any vested interest in either!
It's full of all things bike related with the first edition containing a step x step guide to building your own fixie, damn fine magazine!
6/4/11
Good news as I have recently updated the Vintage Surf Swap Meet, design collective & travel pages, enjoy!
5/4/11
Okay, first up an apology for the big gap between blogs, my only excuse is work, kids, lack of surf, new business ventures (designcollective.net.au) and did I say work?!
Anyway, not much on the swell front except right at the moment for the Margaret's 6 Star event which is due some solid swell today, tomorrow & Friday if predictions come true. The event is always blessed with great waves and at least one solid swell during the weeks festivities but enough about that as I am not there & away elsewhere so not interested! (really I am but bummed not to be there to see it...)
Headed south for last weeks 3 mtr swell hoping to score fun Yal's rights, C Park or P Break but alas the swell peaked over night as it often does this time of the year so small Yal's it was with 20 of my closest friends the backpackers, longboarders and suprisingly a number of long term locals which was great to see them out there still dominating the line up (image credit to Coops @ epicswells.com)
In between the above I have been riding my Deus fixie on a daily basis which is getting more use than my quiver, never thought I would say that but alas life gets in the way sometimes of the things we prefer to do (life included!)
I gotta say I am loving riding everywhere at any opportunity I get and find the speed and ease such a buzz, particularly when it's more often than not quicker to get from A > B, too easy...
Yoga has also played a big part in my summer rescue campaign and my routine has started to creep back into my weekly schedule where it rightfully belongs as it did for many years. I do solo yoga a number of times a week when away but it's never the same as participating in one of Sam's great classes (homeofyoga.com)
However, swell rescue is well on it's way via the beautiful season of autumn quickly followed by winter, 2 of my favorite seasons of the year. The ocean kicks into life, changing it's chameleon like colours to a more resepectable cooler, moody shade & shakes off it's summer douldrums like a long, lingering unwanted hangover.
Life is good, keep it coming!
25/2/11
The image is from a recent camping trip to our deep deep south eastern coast around the Esperance area.
Beautiful place with simply stunning beaches, the whitest of white sand married with the crystal clear aqua blue waters, amazing.
Had fun little single fin waves along empty sparse beaches which brought back many memories of camping there as a child with family & siblings.
I took many a shot on this trip only to find the camera (Canon SLR500 film not digital) had managed to not actually take 2 rolls with the best shots, big bummer.
Check the travel page for more images...
Not much else to report, will be south soon & will have images to update of our beautiful south western waves. Till then, I hope your in the water more than I!
1/2/11
Okay, a quick update with not much to report except I have been busy updating all the pages recently so please check 'em all out!
Now, I am not sure about you guys (to be honest I don't really want to know) but I just narrowly missed out on the epic cyclone swell down south the last couple of days, damn!! Check out Coops images @ epicswells.com...
I too have received cyclonic conditions but all the way up in Darwin for work (yep, work) not home, dem's the breaks huh? I had heard of crew surfing the Darwin cyclone & saw plenty of swell from the air but work got in the way. The local surfers have a theory that the strong winds & swell push the box jellyfish & crocodiles away so they feel safe to surf, interesting...
Anyway, I will make up for it over the next few weeks of southern juice and will be downloading images soon of these trips along with my recent camping expedition to the deep south east coast.
The above image is a golden oldie from the early 90's taken by the late & great lensman Twiggy (Taj's lensman) at my beloved C Park. This was back when I use to live up on the hill and run down with my trusty dog Teddy in my wettie & surf it on my lonesome, but alas that's another story for another time & campfire.
Where was I, ah yes, back then I was on a bit of a strange tangent riding these weird yet wonderful Campbell Brothers 5 fin Bonzer boards (bonzer5.com) that my board shaper back then Mick Manolas use to shape.
Funny story really, Mitch Thorsen came back from Santa Cruz in between stops on the ASP Tour with a few under his arm & swore by them. Mick suggested I take one for a ride as long as I kept it underwraps so no one could see the unique & strange 5 fin craft so as to avoid the word getting out. I figured what was good enough for Mitch (one of my favourite local surfers) was easily gunna be good enough for me & from memory I rode it out @ Smiths with no one around (sounds crazy but it was easy back then to score great waves by yourself)
Anyway, long story short I loved the feel of the big single fin & 2 x angled side fins & consequently rode them for the next 3 years. I rode them exclusively till one day I decided to give 3 fins ago again to see how they felt and then I ended up riding 'normal' boards again. Long after Mick retired from shaping I asked him to shape me a replica of what I used to ride back then of which I still have the 6'5 x 20 x 2 3/8 swallow tail in amongst my single fins, round nose fishes etc... When I get around to shooting an image I will upload so it makes more sense...
Now, on to more important issues. Spare a thought to all those hit hard by the floods in QLD & Victoria and to those who so kindly and unselfishly donated $, time and hard work to help their fellow beings in time of desperate need. Well done to all involved and pity to those who chose not to help...
The Aust. government has introduced a 'one off' levy to help cover the huge costs associated of which a large number of the negative & selfish public have criticised! Now, we should all be more than happy to contribute & help our fellow countrymen, just reverse the situation and put yourself in their shoes huh?
A totally different subject, I don't know if any of you are into tennis but gee the Australian Open was a lot of fun to watch. I have never been a good player (to busy surfing!) but love watching it, particularly Wimbledon and the standard of tennis now is on such a radically technical & high fitness level it's simply intense to watch.
Well, that was quick huh? As mentioned I will update soon with fresh images from the deep south...
12/1/11
Jeepers, where did the last year go huh?! Blows me away how quickly it slipped past, like it was guilty of something and wanted to step out of the spotlight for a while...
As you might have guessed some time has slipped since my last blog, Christmas and 2 weeks camping in the remote South Eastern corner of our state are my excuses...
Had a great camping experience down Esperance way with friends & family and surfed some fun little waves on deserted beaches along the beautiful South East coast with one remote semi secret right hander the highlight, images to follow soon... (well, as soon as I get my hands on them & uploaded!)
The above image above was taken by Erick @ tungsten.net.au & shot @ a super secret beachie in Perth (yeh, you know the one, as if anything is secret in Perth...!) Now, before you jump to hasty, unquantified & radical conclusions no I am not riding a longboard but one of my fine single fins I had shaped for just such an occasion.
Will update soon with images, in the meantime hope you are getting more water time than me!
1/12/10
Well, I know it's been a couple of weeks now since the innaugural Deus Swap Meet took place so this update is a little late!
Now I have excuses as I have been away & patiently awaiting images of the day to pass on to you all.
Now, check out the following links for great images (a big thanks to photog's Bel from Deus, Erick from tungsten.net.au & Coops from loadedbarrel.com.au) -
A huge thanks to all of you for coming along on the day with your quivers, loose change & positive attitudes as the day rocked and all involved are really keen & looking forward to next years event.
Now next years Deus Swap Meet is looking to be earlier in the year with a great contingent of crew already commited to bringing along memorabilia, quivers, vintage clothing, furniture, vintage skate etc... It's shaping up to be a big day & I will keep you all posted through both this site & www.cartercollective.com
Before I sign off, a big thanks to Adam (?) who arrived really early on the day in his old Holden wagon, went back home & returned with his quiver of cruisin' bikes one of which he donated all proceeds to the PMH Foundation. Cheers Adam, look forward to catching up at the 2011 swap meet!
31/10/10
The article to the left featured in the surfing section of the 24/10/10
Sunday Times here in Western Australia.
It gives a brief spiel regarding the upcoming Deus Surf Swap Meet I am holding on the 21st November in the Perth CBD.
Check out the swap meet page & let me know if interested in bringing some classic boards or memorabilia along, it's going to be a great day!
25/10/10
First up a big apology for the gap in time between blogs, has been a busy couple of months with family, work & travel & also a big apology for the bad editing of late on my site. Having major issues with server & site for some reason so not all coming out as planned over the last couple of months!
Anyway, where was I, yes. The above image was taken a couple of weeks back @ Canggu, Bali Indonesia (updated images on surf images page) Had great waves over the couple of weeks we were there with the best fun up @ Canggu. Happen to coincide with the Oakley Pro Junior event which didn't crowd the water too much but got to see some of the impressive upcoming talent.
Had a solid day @ the river mouth right one day @ 4 > 5ft with only a couple of guys out which was great and spent some time at the new Deus Temple of Enthusiasm in Canggu. Great pad with cafe, bar, gallery, board shaping & glassing bays, bike workshops & clothing, boards & bikes showroom!
Managed to squeeze in the rockin' Wolfmother gig just before we left which was a great casual backyard party just like you were at your best buddies house with 1000 of your closest friends! truly rocked & check out the music page for more info & images.
1/9/10
The article to the left was featured in the 29/8/10 Sunday Times & The Australian Home Magazine back page listing my 10 favorite things in life.
Gee it was exceptionally hard to narrow it done to just 10! I struggled with it missing out my favorite Rottnest Island, Hawaii & travel amongst many others (by the way, nice hair dude...)
Anyway, all for now...
17/8/10
The Lurker bike to the left was kindly sent over by Deus, it is one smoooove ride this fixie.
I asked Pierro, resident bike man @ Deus to send over something minimal, light yet not fussy or too technical as will be an everyday road fixie and this is what arrived, stoked!
A big thanks to the Deus guys for their generosity, I am now cruisin' the streets in style and with whole lotta speed!
29/8/09
On the sponsorship front I am stoked to have secured a new sunglass sponsor in Smith Optics & new clothing sponsor in Deus Ex Machina. Deus are based in Sydney & have a fresh angle to the industry coming from a retro motorbike, surf & bicycle background, cool bunch of guys.
Smith are obviously a well respected optical company & a great crew there also. Both great companies who I hope to have a long association with.
All for now, see you in the water!!
From this point below my carrier has deleted updates for some reason & I am working on replacing all lost updates, I'll get there eventually...
